I've also been dying to tell you all about my newest handbag

Hello and Happy Monday to you all! I hope you guys had a fabulous weekend! We sure did. My weekend was made especially sweet with the addition of a few new (and very affordable) jackets and sweaters to my wardrobe, thanks to Target.

I've also been dying to tell you all about my newest handbag obsession as of late... The Michael Kors Studded Selmas. Oh my goodness. I'm in love with them. I started with the messenger, then the satchel. It's a sickness.
So this is definitely a major combo post. Since I combined this latest Target fashion haul with my new MK Selma bags in my newest video (you can check out that goodness at the bottom of this post), I figured I'd combine the blog post too. Sound good?
K, lets go.

So this weekend, as most Saturday mornings go, I headed to run some errands and pick up a few groceries, which brought me Target.

Before I go any further, I've got to go ahead and just admit it.  I've totally slacked on my "Target Finds" blog posts lately. I started that little series over a year ago on here and have really not been great about sharing my new finds when I, well, find them.
But my point is that I haven't forgotten about them and I'll definitely continue to update you all when I find some great things at Target.

First we have this beautiful navy "asymmetrical" blazer...

SO easy-to-wear and versatile. You'll pick up on a little pattern throughout the rest of the post, but I came home and literally threw these jackets on with my simple white t-shirt and jeans. They all worked so well with even the simplest outfit and made it more special.
This jacket has really gorgeous faux leather detailing and the navy is so rich and beautiful. This is going to be a Fall staple of mine for sure.

Next is this SERIOUSLY fun plaid blazer...

I mean.
Crazy gorgeous and unique. This one is my favorite. Again, with the pretty faux leather detail. I love the pop of red with the stitching.
Here's another shot that shows the pretty buttons on the back of the sleeves a bit better.

Next is this really cozy, super chunky sweater...

I cant even with my cheesy side stare. I'm thinking, "Dang, I love this sweater..."

And you may notice in the little widget above I included a sweatshirt as well. Didn't get a photo in that one, but I show it in much more detail in the video below.

So let's move on to the handbags.
I know, I've gone handbag-crazy. I'm seriously on a purse ban, ya'll. I'm not even kidding. Hold me to that.
So I've always loved the pretty silhouette of the Michael Kors Selmas.  I fell in love hard with the little messenger in "dark dune", which is a really super versatile warm taupe color. LOVE that bag. Love it so much that I caved and bought the big satchel in black.
These are the ones I have...

**After posting pics of these on my Instagram, many of you had trouble finding the messenger in the "dark dune" shade. I ordered mine from Nordstrom (currently sold out), and the only place online I've currently found it is from Dillards, so I linked that up for you below. That color is apparently pretty hard to find in the studded version.

(Yes, I paid for both of these myself, this is not sponsored, and I just have a handbag sickness)

So while I love the regular Selmas, the studded versions just really get me. Like really get me. There was some awkward and inappropriate heavy petting when they both arrived. I probably shouldn't tell you that, but just keeping it real.
Anyway, the leather is super durable and almost feels indestructible. It's called "saffiano" leather. I had a Tory Burch bag made from the exact stuff years ago that held up really well.

Anyway, I LOVE the versatility of these.

They're just my new favorite things, basically.  I show them in more detail in the video below.

So there you have it. Some recent fashion obsessions. Check out the video below for much more on these items and even more of my thoughts! I love them all so much...

Michael Kors Clutch over on Instagram the other day

There was a moderate amount of excitement when I shared my brand new Michael Kors Clutch over on wish the other day, and I was pleased that other people could share the joy of it via social media as soon as I whipped it out of the box! The lovely people at Harvey Nichols sent me this beautiful blue baby, and it's so much more precious and pretty than it is in pictures in real life; the leather finish has a delicate texture to it, alongside the perfect stitching and perfectly placed branded lettering. The colour is so much more vivid and delicious than it looked online too. In a bold and bright blue, which at first I thought may have been a little tricky to pair with a range of outfits, but after playing around in my wardrobe for a while I found that the colour and style of bag is pretty versatile! The little wrist strap combined with the size makes it really non-awkward (is that the right way to word that?) to wear, as you don't have the juggling act to hold a drink when on a night out, and you can just slip it under your arm if it's annoying you dangling around. So here's what I came up with:

It's probably some kind of crime against fashion to pair a designer bag with Primark shoes, but with the addition of the vintage dress, I think it works. This dress is one of my favourites and I picked it up from a charity shop years ago... And I've been waiting all that time to actually wear it, as the waist is a tiny tiny fit, but alas, all this gym going is paying off and it can now zip up hassle free! Hurrah! It has a really cute floral pattern on which features cherries and houses(?!). These Primark wooden heeled sandals are literally the most comfortable heels I have EVER owned. I can wear them ALL DAY without having a hint of discomfort and they also remind me of Swedish Hasbeens, but for £12 rather than A MILLION POUNDS. I love how the teal/green shades in the dress clash against the blue of the Michael Kors bag - Clashing colours is one of my favourite hobbies.

Second up, we go even further down the budget scale for this crochet jumper dress (sorry, not sorry) that I picked up from the Car Boot in Cheshire the other week. It cost a grand total of £2.50 when bought with the other garments, which is completely ridiculous considering it's a brand new dress with tags on and everything! You obviously do have to wear a slip dress underneath, unless you're feeling overly confident with your nakedness underneath, but t's lovely for spring/summer days where it's really warm but you're not quite ready to get those bingo wings out. I've been wearing gladiator style black sandals non stop this week, and they're really comfy without leaving your feet too exposed on hot days. Sticking with simple black and white really helps the brilliant blue of the bag pop. Look at me sounding like I know what I'm on about there... Haha.

Finally, for a bit more of a preppy day look I contrasted the blue of the bag against the red of the tartan peter pan collared dress I bought fromArk a while ago (see the original post here) I don't know if you've been in to Ark recently, but they have so many pretty items in I need to sharply exit before I spend all my money on EVERYTHING EVER. They've got the best Co-Ords I've seen on the high street too... But I digress. Teaming the dress and bag with the perfect pair of Clarks Hamble Oak Brogues it makes for a pretty cute look, if I do say so myself. I think the key to making this bag 'work' with a variety of outfits, is to just keep everything as simple as possible - Don't over accessorize and don't think too much about which colours go with what! And let's face it, a bag this beautiful is going to detract the attention away from your outfit anyway, so you could wear it with a neon orange shell suit and still look good.

LJ300 Continuous Extrusion Machine is invented

When the LJ continuous extrusion machine is under the condition of extruding, it spindle will be longer after being heated, which will make the spindle move to one side and emerge strong axial force. It will be harmful to the spindle, abrade extrusion wheel, and the quality of the product. In order to reduce the harmful spindle displacement during the extruding process, and improve the strained condition, we designed coupling machine, which allows the spindle doing axial play when it is under little loading. It has been known that, the force state of the spindle system of continuous extrusion machine has been developed after improving, and the useful life of continuous extrusion machine can be longer than before.
LJ300 Continuous Extrusion Machine is invented by Central South University of Technology. We found some problems during the productive process: 1. the quality of the product cannot be guaranteed. There are many small bubbles on the surface of the product, which cannot be accepted by customers; 2. The leakage rate of the raw material is high during the productive process, and it will be 80% or more. The pass percent is far lower than the same level of the equipment in foreign countries (98%); 3. The useful life of extruding wheel, bottom sub, and the feeding round is very short, and they often need to be changed, which lead to the high cost. 4. The loading of the equipment is large, and workers have to stop to repair those equipment. For instance, the deceleration boxes are often stop working because of the over loading, which leads to the slowing down of the running rate.

Today’s outfit puts a sexy spin on business attire

Happy Friday! Today is such a good day for so many reasons! For one, it’s Friday…DUH! I’m so excited to go back to my hometown to spend the weekend with my family, do crafts with my mom, and take lots of outfit styling photos! The main reason today is a good day however is because I got a call last night from Kate Spade offering me a position! I can’t wait. I go in to sign paperwork in a couple hours and I will officially be a Kate Spade employee!
Today’s outfit puts a sexy spin on business attire! Adding a pop of color to neutral outfits is one of my favorite styling tips and this bag and necklace does just the trick! I’m loving all the springy colors this season. I wish I could buy these shorts in every color because they are one of my favorites! They are so comfy and I love the pleating on them. I seem to be buying so many pleated pieces lately. I find that it’s extremely flattering!

Michael Kors sequin dress to Inauguration of the first lady

First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama attended the 2013 Presidential Inaugural reception wearing a black sequin Michael Kors boat neck dress.
The day before at the Swearing in ceremony the entire family looked lovely in matching tones of blues and purple.
I cannot wait to see what she wears to the Inauguration Ball, I wonder which designer she will wear? We shall never forget this white Jason Wu gown she wore 4 years ago.

The Michael Kors Selma Satchel was one of my favorite purchases

The Michael Kors Selma Satchel was one of my favorite purchases last year for a number of reasons; among them are relative affordability and a pragmatic yet aesthetically pleasing design.

I have been intrigued by how members of the Selma family differ but have not had an opportunity to evaluate them closely until recently, when I needed to purchase a wedding present for a family friend whose wedding I cannot attend.

I ordered a few different styles during one of Macy's sales to contemplate and wanted to share some pictures and thoughts with you, in case you were curious about them too.

Furla showroom at Milan Fashion Week

when I entered Furla showroom at Milan Fashion Week I felt like a child in a candy shop: everything called my name but I knew I couldn't have them all. Seriously, don't you think they are all too cute?

Cheshire Oaks is a designer outlet in Cheshire packed with luxury

Last Sunday I visited McArthurGlen's Cheshire Oaks and discovered it was a mecca for handbags!

For the benefit of the southerners who read this post, Cheshire Oaks is a designer outlet in Cheshire packed with luxury, designer and premium range brands, but reduced by up to 70% of the RRP. The centre has over 145 outletsincluding fabulous designer brands such as: Karen MillenTed BakerJeagerand Armarni.

McArthurGlen is also a client of mine and I was up at Cheshire Oaks last weekend to show the lovely Liz Williams, from Catwalkqueen.tv around the centre during the Fashion Fling campaign.

Although the weather may not suggest it's spring at the moment, us ladies still need to get our hands on the latest SS13 trends - and the Fashion Fling campaign aimed to help shoppers do just this with some 'hard-to-resist' discounts and promotions.

Looking sporty-chic in some wedged MK sneakers

We hung out early in the morning around my office while they caught me working, answering emails, shipping orders and flippin’ through magazines for inspiration.

Looking sporty-chic in some wedged MK sneakers, perfect for on the go!

Love this mini cross-body! The right size for all your essentials.

I was decked out all in Michael Kors Holiday pieces

So excited to finally share these photos of my recent photo shoot of a day in the life with Michael Kors. The team flew out to LA to hang out with me to see what a normal looking day for me looks like… fun part? I was decked out all in Michael Kors Holiday pieces, which were so edgy and versatile, kinda obsessed.
Take a look at the fun photos we captured around my office, neighborhood, local coffee shop and at dinner!
