O modelo básico custa US$228, o meu custou US$190.

Furla, the Italian premium accessories brand opens its first new concept store at Greenbelt 5 in Makati City, Philippines, the city’s top fashion and luxury shopping destination. The new concept store draws inspiration from the architectural details of the beautifully restored 18th century Villa in Bologna, Italy - headquarter of the brand - where tradition fuses with contemporary design.

Now there are four major stores and corners that have opened in Greenbelt 5 and Rustan’s Makati in Makati City, Shangri-la Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City and Newport Mall in Pasay City.

Travertine for the Furla Store in London

Following on from a previous blog procuring the Noce Travertine for the Furla Store in London we have now received the images of the installation and they look fantastic.
The Travertine was vein cut and resin filled to help with the performance. It was ordered in a plank like size that almost makes it look like wood in these pictures. See the previous blog sourcing and supplying the stone here:

Furla Candy to your collection

Those of you out there who are looking to add your second, or third Furla Candy to your collection, please take note. Furla Singapore is now offering between 30% and 40% off selected Candy styles, including the styles shown above, whilst stocks last.
Take the ‘Camo’ Candy, for instance. Was SGD720, and now after 40% off, justSGD432. The ones with the cheetah ponyhair trim are also on sale, with the black one at 30% off and the white one at 40%, which makes them SGD602 and SGD516 after discount. Love the colour blocked one that’s half orange, half brown and comes with bright yellow handles? Also at 40% off, it’s now SGD324 after discount.
Besides the trio above, you’ll find 4 more styles/colours up for grabs, but at these prices they won’t last very long so head to any Furla boutiques islandwide and get yours before it’s gone. Fun, functional and super lightweight, so there’s really no reason not to. Buy now, thank me later.

Furla’s tinier take on their bestseller of the Candy

If you loved Furla’s tinier take on their bestseller of the Candy (also known as theCookie), the colours black and gold, as well as studs, then you’ll definitely adore the Italian brand’s F/W13 offering, the Furla Studded Cookie.
Measuring just 21 cm across by around 15 cm, she comes in dark grey, almost black rubber and finished on the top (and the bottom) with leather in the form of the bag’s handles and base. And the icing on the cake has got to be those little studs and hardware embellishments in gold-tone hardware, from the handle’s D-rings to the little twist-lock padlock.
An absolutely perfect companion for those wanting to jazz up their wardrobe a little, just throw on the shoulder strap (sold together with the bag) and you’ve got yourself a fun weekend sling. Priced at SGD832, you could also check out her bigger sister, theCandy, which will come in the exact same combination, albeit at a slightly larger size that will set you back by SGD998.
You won’t have to wait too long for it in Singapore either; I hear it should be released sometime in mid-September, giving you enough time to put yourself on the wait list and/or save up. Adorable, no? And before I go, the Cookie isn’t the only bag from Furla this season with studs. Follow this link to see more styles, including the new Candy Backpack.

Furla Miami fashion week show

The Furla boutique at the Village of Merrick park got a makeover!  The store, which is located on the ground level, next to the Nordstrom's entrance, received a major redo in order to usher in the new Spring 2014 collection.

If you are not familiar with the brand, chances are that you will fall in love with the Candy collection - colored "jelly" bags and clutches that are too cute to pass up.  If you're a Furla loyalist, you will be pleasantly surprised by the new collection, which features lots of textured leather, and gorgeous colors, staying true to the brand.  There's something for everyone at the store, including mini handbags, keychains, belts, and shoes.
Exclusive new handbag in the color 'Menta' c/o Furla Miami.

During Milan Fashion Week from Furla

During Milan Fashion Week, I attended Furla‘s Piazza del Duomo store opening. I enjoyed discovering the new Furla “it bag” for the upcoming season, which I have myself in electric blue and I’m totally in love with while chatting with Olivia Palermo after interviewing her for GalaConfidential, For the occasion I wore a total look byTheysken’s Theory paired with a necklace from Tibet.

Fashion Furla store by HMKM,HONG KONG & LONDON

A continuation of HMKM’s new global concept that drew its inspiration from the Furla headquarters in Bologna – a restored 18th century villa where traditional craftsmanship fuses with contemprary art and design. Its simplicity and elegance inspired HMKM to create a retailing concept that reflects the heart of Furla in a fresh and contemporary way.

The palette of colours centres on natural tones together with pastel colours. Materials span Italian travertine marble for the floor, rosewood that matches the opal glass for the furnishings, metals used both for the finishing of the walls and for the frames, and the colour ivory for the seating.

Ever wonder what makes Furla Candy Bag so popular

Furla Candy is a color-kissed rubber satchel with a ladylike silhouette. The iconic Candy Bag is a fusion between innovation, creativity and tradition that characterizes the brand.

Ever wonder what makes Furla Candy Bag so popular? Bored of all the plain looking handbags in the market? Looking for something different? Why don’t you look at Furla Candy Bag collection! First introduced in 2010, the Furla Candy Bag or sometimes referred to as the Furla jelly bag, quickly became a worldwide hit phenomena, having sold out in both physical and online stores in the beginning.

The handbag has an iconic look where it has a perfect blend of structured and fun. Furla managed to achieve the first part by using a material combination of thick rubber and PVC, this allows the bag to retain its structure and at the same time being super durable. Making it ideal for usage at the gym, shopping or even the office.

The second part is achieved by using a semi transparent material that is only enough to identify that there is something inside, but not enough to identify what exactly it is.

Details:
- materials: PVC
- the sidelong vein is due to the particular injection technique used for the shaping process of the PVC and is therefore not to be considered as a quality defect, but as a characteristic of the product itself
- tone-on-tone stitching
- padlock with Furla logo
- carried in the hand
- zip closure
- drop: 11 cm - 4 ¼"
- rubber feet

 Classic size: Size:  11¾" x 8" x 6¾"

Not to mention the fun when your bag lights up when there is a phone call!

Furla Kicking off handbags Top show

Kicking off officially this Thursday is Furla’s much-anticipated Candybrissima Show Tour, which has already travelled the world and will be making a stopover in our sunny island, its 11th stop, to be exact. To be held over two days (24 and 25 May) at Paragon Atrium, it’s a celebration of all bags Candy, by far Furla’s most popular to date with a cult following of its own all over the world.
Besides the fact that you’ll be able to purchase the new bags from the Furla Sunset Candy collection (SGD790 each), along with its tinier new sister, the very adorableCookie (SGD455) which comes in sweet pastel hues for the season, there’s also the Candybrissima Creative Laboratory.
Specially set up just for this event and open to the public from 24 May, it will showcase a variety of Candy bags interpreted by various personalities, as well as allow you to experience first-hand the joy of putting together your very own Candybags with all manner of embellishments and charms.
I’m also giving 3 Furla Cookie bags away (that’s the Candy‘s tinier, more adorable sis). Simply head down to Paragon Atrium (either Friday or Saturday) and customise your very own Candy at Candybrissima Creative Laboratory.
Once you’re satisfied with your creation, take a snapshot of it, upload it onto Instagram with hashtags #furlacookiesg and #iwantfurlacookie. The 3 most fun/crazy/creative entries (as decided by me) will win a Cookie each. It’s that simple!
Don’t forget to leave a comment in this post once you’ve taken part (and include the Instagram URL if you can) and make sure your account is not set to private so that I can view your entries. Have fun, and good luck!
